WHAT IS THE ERASMUS + PROGRAMME

Erasmus+ is the EU Programme approved by the European Parliament on the 1st of January of 2014. The Erasmus+ Programme supports the implementation of the Europe 2020 strategy in the field of education and training to improve the internationalization, multilingualism and job inclusion of European youth. The Erasmus+ Programme is structured in different actions in which under the “Key Action 1: Mobility for individuals” the main goal is to increase the mobility of people to undertake a professional experience abroad. Under the framework of the Erasmus+ Key Action 1, Trainee+Up works to connect European educational institutions and students with host companies located in Barcelona, Spain interested in welcoming educated youths as a trainee.

The duration of the internships is from 2 weeks to 12 months throughout the year.

ERASMUS+ FINANCIAL SUPPORT

The Erasmus+ Programme finances travel, private insurance and living expenses of participants during the internship/job shadowing abroad. The financial support varies depending on the host country and the sending institution.

INTERNSHIPS REMUNERATION

Host companies are not  expected to remunerate the interns as well as not including them in the General System of Social Security because of the  Law 27/2011, of August 1, Third additional provision – Social Security of people participating in traineeship programmes within the Erasmus+ Programme. If host companies wish to make contributions for the students providing lunch or travel expenses, this is, however, possible.

INTERNSHIP PLACEMENTS

Trainee+Up organizes traineeship placements in a wide range of educational fields. We arrange collaborations with host organisations interested in welcoming international trainees and make sure they are able to provide quality internships according to the participants educational background. Furthermore, we coordinate your mobility project from the planning phase to completion in order to guarantee a worthwhile training experience for participants.

HOW DOES TRAINEE+UP SELECT HOST COMPANIES

Trainee+Up has built an extensive network of host companies, that have been checked for their suitability with Erasmus+ quality commitment, healthy and safe environment, as well as the quality of the training they provide. When selecting a company, Trainee+Up takes care to look at students’ previous training, their experience and their level of English, which will determine the level of responsibility they can assume during their internship.

DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED BEFORE AND AFTER THE MOBILITY

It is required formalizing an Erasmus+ Learning Agreement. It need to be drafted, agreed and signed before the beginning of the internship and agreed between all the involved parties; the sending educational institution, the student, the host organisation and Trainee+Up. We assist you to prepare and sign the Learning Agreements before the beginning of traineeship. Furthermore, it is required that the Educational Institution sends the scanned copy of the participant’s private insurance, European Healh Card and ID before their arrival.

Once the internships is successfully finished, we issue all documents required to validate the Erasmus+ internship such as evaluation forms and  Europass Certificates.
